Delta MCIS releases new UPS software: UPSentry 2012 and ShutdownAgent 2012

Prevents data loss and protects IT equipment from sudden power outages

Delta MCIS has just released its new UPS management software: Delta UPSentry 2012 and ShutdownAgent 2012 to support customers in better protecting their data and IT equipment. When an interruption of electricity or a low battery is detected, the software sends out an alarm to IT management staff and the shutdown of IT equipment can be managed according to prearranged settings.

Ultimate protection of virtual machines and IT equipment
With the growing trend of server virtualization, UPSentry 2012 and ShutdownAgent 2012 are also designed to allow the safe shutdown of virtual machines. Prior to the shutdown of the server, the software turns off the operating system on the virtual machine to make sure the whole process follows normal procedures to safeguard the data on the machine. The software supports the shutdown of various operating systems and virtual machine systems such as MS Hyper-V, VMWare ESXi, Citrix XenServer and more.

Easy Monitoring and Management
Both UPSentry 2012 and ShutdownAgent 2012 allow for remote monitoring and management of one to multiple UPSs through a web-based interface which allows up to 16 users to login at the same time. By connecting the web browser to a remote PC which has UPSentry or ShutdownAgent installed, users can easily monitor and obtain the real time data of power systems and related devices, including current UPS events, shutdown strategy, countdown to shutdown information and more. Supporting centralized management and remote control, the software helps users safeguard precious data and IT equipment and prevent further business losses resulting from power issues.
