A data center alone can account for over 70% of a building's power consumption and can run up a massive power bill every month. To deal with the problem of excessive power consumption by its data center, one university in Taiwan collaborated with Delta on a series of "Green Data Center" improvement projects. These included the construction of separate hot and cold air aisles, a large modular UPS system, and an integrated power management system.
