Delta to Demonstrate its Position as a Datacentre Total Solution Provider at CeBIT 2017
In this IT intensive world with heavy data traffic, an edge datacentre acts as a caching and data-aggregation point between users and larger datacentres to ease overwhelming IT loads. “Following the growing applications of edge computing, Delta is introducing a new generation of containerized datacentres with flexible power and cooling designs, quick deployment and scalable capacity for implementation anywhere,” said Dr. Charles Tsai, general manager of Delta’s Mission Critical Infrastructure Solutions (MCIS) business unit.
The key customer value of Delta’s datacentre solutions includes:
All-in-one Design and High Integration
Visitors to Delta’s booth will witness two kinds of live demos: a containerized datacentre for edge networks, and a modular datacentre with hot aisle containment.
Delta’s containerized datacentre offers a prefabricated, pretested, and fully configured architecture with high portability for edge computing application by telecommunication and datacentre operators. It includes all infrastructure sub-systems in one container with AC or AC/DC converged backup power, batteries, power distribution, cooling system, modular racks, generator set, fire suppression, security system, lighting and more. The all-in-one design not only provides one stop shopping for customers, but also realizes high system integration and reliability.
Delta’s InfraSuite modular datacentre is a smart and flexible architecture suitable for small and medium enterprise applications. In addition to the integration of main systems of power, cooling, racks and monitoring, the cold or hot aisle containment also provides superior air flow management to enhance cooling efficiency.
Delta’s containerized datacentre is an all-in-one architecture with innovative AC or converged power solutions (AC and DC) ideally suited for edge computing applications.
Fast Deployment and High ScalabilityA traditional datacentre takes 18 to 24 months to build, while a containerized or modular datacentre requires only a few weeks or months for deployment. Delta’s modular datacentre, with its fully modular design concept, is flexible and offers pay-as-you-grow with short installation time to meet the rapidly growing needs of data storage and processing.
Industry-leading Efficiency and Best Space Utilization
As a green datacentre advocate, Delta helps customers achieve operating expense (OPEX) savings through its modular DPH series UPS 500kVA and new DPS series 600kVA featuring industry-leading AC-AC efficiency of 96.5%, and its Delta InfraSuite RowCool series 29/35/43/70/95kW with variable fan speed control for significant energy savings. The world’s highest power density per module at 55kVA in Delta’s DPH 500kVA UPS, and the smallest footprint of its new DPS 600kVA UPS compared with its peers, achieve the best space utilization.
Ultimate Availability and Proactive Reliability
The Delta modular DPH series UPS 75kVA and Eltek’s (a Delta Group company) mini CPS 68kVA offer dual power backup providing both AC and DC power supplies to critical IT devices for higher availability. The hot swappable modules of the DPH series UPS also allow fast maintenance without interruption of power supply. For large datacentres, colocation or cloud service providers, the newly-launched DPH 500kVA and DPS 600kVA series UPS offer advanced failure detection and event analysis capability for proactive reliability.
Comprehensive Manageability
Today datacentres are more complex than ever and growing larger in their deployed footprint, and IT managers ability to efficiently manage datacentres from a central dashboard in real-time has become crucial. Delta’s datacentre infrastructure management (DCIM) provides a sophisticated monitoring solution including power, energy, assets, work orders, security, capacity management, and more.
Delta’s technical acumen and solution capabilities in power and datacentre applications have been widely recognized by customers worldwide, such as IMAQLIQ’s datacentre for colocation services in Russia, the world’s largest fast food restaurant in France, a German luxury automaker, a hosting company in Berlin, a university datacentre in South Africa, as well as airports in Poland, Australia, South Korea, and more.
We welcome you to visit and see our brand-new containerized edge datacentre solutions, power management, efficient cooling solutions and DCIM live demonstration at our Delta stand located at D83, Hall 12 during CeBIT 2017 in Hannover, Germany from March 20th to 24th.
