Vodafone Turkey chose Delta’s TPS to help create energy savings

Global telecom operator Vodafone has invested heavily in the growing Turkish market in recent years, becoming the country’s second-largest mobile service provider. In expanding its business, it has been essential to Vodafone to have reliable partners that have short lead times and can provide local support. Vodafone chose Delta as its telecom system supplier.

Since 2009, Delta has delivered a large number of indoor telecom power solutions to Vodafone’s switch centers and base stations. Deliveries are still continuing in the second half of 2010. The 12 kW/48 VDC InD systems are based on Delta DPR 2400 rectifiers. The benefits of the system include an extended operating temperature range that allows the cabinet temperature to remain slightly higher than normal in order to save on cooling costs.

“Delta has been able to help Vodafone reach direct and indirect energy savings, as well as to make their life a bit easier by features like remote control,” says Ahmet Tuzel, Delta Country Manager Turkey.

“Vodafone has around 16 million active subscribers in Turkey. We are happy to help Vodafone provide reliable telecom services for all of them. Since opening our Istanbul office in 2008, we have been able to combine local support and Delta’s global resources – an idea combination,” said Mr. Tuzel with satisfaction.
