Total energy efficiency
UPS solutions
Delta’s NH Plus series UPS solutions provide industry-leading energy efficiency of 94% even with very low loads. The high power density and modularity of the solutions contribute to a smaller environmental footprint as a result of less need for materials, packaging and transportation.
Telecom power systems
A rectifier is the heart and a controller the brains of a telecom power system. The energy efficiency of these key Delta products is top of the class. Delta’s sophisticated engineering and design ensure that the power system operates in an optimal way and takes full advantage of its capabilities. This contributes significantly to overall energy efficiency.
Rectifiers
The high power density of a rectifier means that a great amount of power has been packed into a small space. Consequently, Delta’s smaller and lighter devices can fulfil demanding energy needs – while requiring less materials, packaging, space and energy for transportation.
For rectifiers, efficiency is also important. It refers to how efficiently and without loss input power can be converted into power output. Delta’s product range boasts a very high efficiency.
The Delta EnergE products have the world’s leading energy efficiency in their specific power range. We make sure that EnergE label is a real promise of efficiency.
Moreover, a broad temperature range means that Delta’s devices can operate at higher temperatures. This translates into less need for cooling – and thereby energy.
Controllers
A high-quality controller such as Delta’s PSC 3 brings direct and indirect advantages in terms of sustainability.
PSC 3 features a scheduled start-up process for rectifiers. This means that the diesel generator can be reduced to half its normal size, which in turn means a better fuel-to-electricity conversion efficiency. Optimizing the generator size and operating point can save up to 30% of fuel during operation. This reduces the number of refuelling trips to the site – also an important aspect to total energy efficiency. In addition, the periodical automatic battery tests and remote control possibilities further reduce unnecessary check-up trips to the site.
Climate management
In Delta’s OutD systems, hybrid cooling creates significant energy savings. In an air ventilation + air conditioning configuration, air ventilation is sufficient as long as the temperature remains moderate. Only when the temperature rises does active cooling kick in. Less air conditioning means considerable energy savings. For instance, if you operate in an area where the temperature rises above +25°C only 4% of the time, you can save as much as 83% on energy costs.
